External Advisory Board Meeting

Mobesens will held its next External Advisory Board meeting on May 12th in London. During this occasion, M. James Bourne, Chancellor of the Drinking Water Academy at the US Environmental Protection Agency and Dr. Ginebreda, researcher in the Top Council of Scientific Researches at th Institute of Diagnosis of the Water and Environmental Studies (IDÆA), in "Quality of the water and management " will help us evaluate the ad-equation of the up to date results of the project with regards to the every day concern or, in other word, how can Mobesens help them solve the problems they face.

Abstract:The objective of the MOBESENS project is to create a system and the necessary sensors to enable continuous monitoring of water quality in lakes and at sea. This paper presents the innovations of the project in terms of wireless sensor network to achieve this goal. After a short description of the project, the paper describes the localization and routing protocols specifically designed to support long term continuous monitoring of water quality.

EWSN 2010

Mobesens was presented in the form of a Poster at the European Wireless Sensor Network 2010 held in Coimbra (Protugal) from Feb 17th to Feb 19th. It received a broad audience mostly because of the involvement of End User partners in the consortium. The wide scope of the project running from energy scavenging to micro sensors development was also noted as impressive by all the people who took time to stop in front of the poster. Wireless Sensor Networks are, from all the presenter's view, at a key period where, on one side, some actors should move to concrete products and deployemnts and on the other side, focus on topics that were left along until now like Network Management, Security, Robustness et..
